Labour day gifts to Workers - Mazdoor Surakasha Yojna and www.jobtech.in
 
 
On the occasion of Labour Day, CBCI Commission for labour today launched “www.jobtech.in”, an online data bank to connect work opportunity to work seekers and also proposed an idea of “Mazdoor Suraksha Yojna” a social security scheme for unorganised workers. This is in pursuance to enactment of Social security bill by the Government.

In a national level function presided over by Most Rev. Joshua Mar Ignathios, Chairman of CBCI Labour Commission at Yusuf Sadan, CBCI Centre, 1, Ashok Place, GPO, New Delhi 110001, the above announcements were made. Shri Sandeep Silas, PS to the Labour Minister was the chief guest. The above said initiatives are expected to provide a considerable support on genuine requirements of the workers and their family irrespective of their rank and file.

Fr. Jose Vattakuzhy, Executive Director, CBCI, Commission for Labour welcomed the delegates. Mr. Coen Kompier, Sr. Specialist on International Labour Standards, I.L.O, Most Rev. Oswald Lewis, Member of CBCI Labour Commission, Most Rev. Lourdnada Daniel, Chairman of Labour Commission(Western Region), Mr. Warendra Sinha, Deputy General Manager, National Insurance Co. Ltd. and Sr. Jeanne Devos, National Animator of National Domestic Workers Association addressed on the occasion. A skit highlighting the plight of domestic workers and the issue of human trafficking titled “Aakhir Aisa Kyon” was also presented on the occasion by the artists of National Domestic Worker’s Forum.
