| The Cause of the Beatification of Rev. Fr. Varghese Payyappilly, founder of the Sisters of the Destitute, was initiated by His Eminence Varkey Cardinal Vithyathil, Major Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly in a ceremony held at the motherhouse of the Sisters of the Destitute on 6th September 2009. Sr. Roseline Elevanal SD is appointed as the postulator. The mortal remains of Fr. Payyappilly is kept at Konthiruthy church. Fr. Varghese Payyappilly. Fr. Varghese Payyappilly was a diocesan priest of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly |
