| The Department of Catechesis of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly has included social outreach programmes in its syllabus for Plus One classes as a foremost pre-requisite for obtaining the Diploma Certificate. This move is seen as a remedy to the complaint many raise against the existing catechetical methods that are said to be ineffective and distant from the life realities of the teenagers.
