Cardinal erects the Cloistered Convent |

Cardinal Varkey Vithayathil offiacially erected the first Cloistered convent in the Syro-Malabar rite at Malayatttoor on 16th July 2010. His Eminence read out the Official Decree from Vatican in the presence of the members of the Cloistered convent and many other dignitaries.
Earlier in the day Cardinal Varkey visited the retired priests of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly staying at St. Paul’s Priests’ Home, Edakkunnu. Cardinal spent half of the day there and had lunch with his priests.
Cardinal’s health has improved very much and His Eminence is busy preparing for the forthcoming Synod of the Syro-Malabr Bishops and the Syro-Malabar Assembly.
